Groupda alternative
Groupda is alive and does a real job: it lists group links that owners submitted. tgkit does a different one: it searches Telegram's public directory live. Here is which failure mode you prefer.
Groupda and tgkit search two different things. Groupda is a submitted-link directory: owners upload their group, a human categorises it, and you browse or search within what was uploaded (mostly WhatsApp, with a Telegram section). tgkit queries Telegram's own public directory live, so it reaches every public channel and group with a @username whether or not anyone ever submitted it, with results current as of the moment you search. A directory shows dead entries and misses what was never submitted; a live search misses nothing public but has no human descriptions.
tgkit also sells the boring part: members, views, reactions and Premium story boosts. One payment, no account, delivery starts within the hour.
Side by side, honestly
- Coverage. A directory holds what was submitted, which for any topic is a small slice of what exists. A live search reaches everything public. Advantage: live.
- Freshness. Submitted entries stay up after the group dies, and member counts are frozen at submission time. Live results are what Telegram returns today. Advantage: live.
- Descriptions and categories. A human wrote the blurb and filed it under a topic. A live search gives you the channel's own title and nothing more. Advantage: directory.
- Browsing without a query. A directory is built for wandering. Our closest equivalent is the channels list, twenty topics that each run a search. Advantage: directory, narrowly.
- WhatsApp. Groupda covers it. tgkit is Telegram only. Advantage: Groupda.
Why "submit your channel" does not exist here
People ask how to get listed on tgkit. There is nothing to submit, because there is no
list to be on. If your channel is public and has a @username, Telegram already
knows about it and so does the search. What decides whether anyone finds it is whether your
name and description contain the words they type. A channel called The Vault is
invisible; The Vault, Brazilian forex signals is not.
If you are here for the search specifically
The box above is the same one that powers the rest of the site. Set it to Groups only for conversation, or use the group finder, which starts there. For channels, bots and everything at once, the search engine is the general entry point. All of it is free, and none of it asks you to log in.
Groupda and tgkit FAQ
What is Groupda?
A directory of group links where owners submit their own entry. The site is mostly WhatsApp groups, with a Telegram section at groupda.com/telegram that lists submitted Telegram groups and channels and lets you search within them. It is alive and working, checked 15 August 2026.
How is tgkit's search different from Groupda's?
Groupda searches the links people submitted to Groupda. tgkit searches Telegram's own public directory live. That is the whole difference: Groupda can only show you an entry somebody uploaded, and shows it whether or not the group still exists; tgkit reaches every public channel and group with a @username, current as of the moment you search, and shows none of the ones that were never submitted anywhere.
Which one should I use?
Use a submitted directory when you want a browsable, human-described, categorised list and do not mind dead entries. Use a live search when you want to know what actually exists right now for a topic, including everything nobody bothered to submit. They are not really competitors; they fail in opposite directions.
Does tgkit list WhatsApp groups?
No. tgkit is Telegram only. If you are looking for WhatsApp groups, Groupda is the one of the two that does that.
Do I have to submit my channel to appear in tgkit?
No, and you cannot. There is no submission form because there is no list. Any public channel or group with a @username is already searchable. What you control is the wording: put the words people would type into your name and description.
